Volunteering at Night Ninjas
Night Ninjas relies on the commitment of volunteers to assist in providing services to people who are homeless, in a variety of roles and in different areas of the community. We are very fortunate to have a fantastic group of volunteers who make our work possible each day.
Throughout Redland City each week we have over 40 dedicated volunteers actively working to ensure we can offer the highest quality services possible to people who are homeless and vulnerable. Volunteers contribute around 700 hours every month, travelling around 1200 kilometres to support those who are disadvantaged within the Redlands community.
We welcome volunteers who can contribute their knowledge, skills and time towards the vision and growth of Night Ninjas.
We generally require volunteers for roles including:
- Night Feeds
- Day Call Outs
- Phone team
- Administration
- Events management
- Media engagement
- Guest speaking
- Storage shed
- Meal preparation
- Grant application writing
- Facebook & website management
Please note: All volunteers must undergo a police check and hold current a CPR certificate (for Night Feed, Caseworkers and Day Call Out volunteers) prior to becoming inducted as a volunteer.
A police check for a volunteer can be obtained at cvcheck.
CPR training can be obtained from Australia wide First Aid or search on the web for other local courses.
All our members, once inducted using our Online Induction Course, are then given access to an online volunteer management system called Workplace. This will allow both you and Night Ninjas to manage your commitments. You will be required to supply some basic personal information in the Workplace system.
